    Parki Beach

Parki Beach, located in the Anwara Upazila of Chittagong, Bangladesh, is a stunning coastal destination that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and tranquility. Stretching approximately 15 kilometers along the Bay of Bengal, this sandy beach is bordered by the Karnaphuli River, creating a picturesque setting that attracts both local and international tourists. With its serene environment, lush greenery, and vibrant marine life, Parki Beach is an ideal getaway for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

    History of Parki Beach

The history of Parki Beach is intertwined with the development of the surrounding region. The beach has been a popular spot for picnics and relaxation for decades. However, it gained significant attention after the MV Crystal Gold, a bulk carrier, ran aground during Cyclone Mora in May 2017. This incident drew media coverage and highlighted the beach’s potential as a tourist destination.

Efforts to promote Parki Beach as a tourist attraction began in earnest around 2013 when local authorities recognized its potential for eco-tourism. Despite its beautiful landscape and proximity to Chittagong city, Parki Beach has remained relatively undeveloped compared to other beaches in Bangladesh. This lack of commercialization has preserved its natural charm, making it a favorite among nature lovers.
