ToggleOryukdo Skywalk
The Oryukdo Skywalk is a transparent U-shaped glass platform perched over a cliff at the edge of Busan’s coastline. Opened in October 2013, this architectural marvel stretches 15 meters above the ocean and offers an exhilarating experience for visitors. The name “Oryukdo” translates to “Five or Six Islands,” referring to the cluster of rocky islets visible depending on tidal conditions. Whether you’re seeking adventure or stunning views, this skywalk promises an unforgettable experience.
History of Oryukdo Skywalk
The Oryukdo Skywalk was constructed as part of a project to enhance Busan’s coastal tourism. Built on a site historically known as “The Saddle” due to its shape, the skywalk was designed to provide visitors with unparalleled views of the East Sea while preserving the area’s natural beauty. The glass panels used in its construction are bulletproof and over 55 millimeters thick, ensuring both safety and durability. Since its opening in 2013, it has become one of Busan’s most iconic landmarks.
