History of Museo del Mar
The Museo del Mar’s origins trace back to Benjamín Sisterna, whose life-long passion for oceanography began when his brother gifted him a box of seashells in 1932. After his death in 1995, his heirs transformed this extraordinary collection into the Museo del Mar, opened on September 22, 2000.
