Combining eco-friendly tourism with exhilarating activities and a rare opportunity to interact directly with free-roaming squirrel and capuchin monkeys, Monkey Jungle stands out as a top attraction for families, thrill-seekers, and wildlife lovers of all ages.
History of Monkey Jungle
Monkey Jungle’s story began with a mission: to rescue, rehabilitate, and offer a new home for monkeys—many rescued from illegal trafficking—and to serve the community through medical outreach. Situated on a scenic 290-acre working farm, the attraction channels its profits into free, on-site medical and dental clinics for Dominicans in need. Since opening in 2010, Monkey Jungle has expanded to offer exciting canopy zip line rides, botanical gardens, and butterfly habitats, all the while maintaining strict ethical standards for animal welfare and eco-tourism.
